Why this exists

A Garmin inReach can send and receive satellite texts but can't browse the web. So in places with no cell signal, you can't look anything up. Get Wild is an AI you text from your inReach — ask anything, get an answer back over satellite.

Who it's for

People who go where cell signal doesn't. Backpackers, thru-hikers, climbers, ski tourers, paddlers — anyone with a Garmin inReach and a question worth asking. Weather, wildfire activity, trail conditions, gear repairs, wilderness know-how — answered over satellite, no internet required, GPS-aware.

Why an open beta

Get Wild is a one-person project. It's in open beta because the people who'll actually use it — on real trips, with real gear — are the ones who can tell me what it should become. What you ask, what you wish it knew, what you'd want next: that's how it gets useful where it matters. Free during the beta.
