Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Get Wild ("Get Wild", the "Service", "we", "us", "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

We use the information above only to operate and protect the Service: to route your message to the AI assistant, to generate and deliver a reply, to maintain short conversation context, to show you your message history, to enforce monthly message limits, to secure the Service against abuse, and to communicate with you (for example, sending sign-in codes).

3. AI processing and live information

To generate a reply, the content of your message and your location (when present) are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider. Anthropic processes this data to return a response and, per its API terms, does not use data submitted through its API to train its models by default.

For questions that need current information — weather, wildfire activity, trail and road closures, and similar — the assistant uses Anthropic's hosted web search tool, which can issue search queries (potentially incorporating your coordinates) to third-party web search and content providers via Anthropic. We do not call those providers directly.

We share data only with the providers needed to run the Service, and only as required to do so:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

5. SMS messaging and mobile data

If you opt in to Get Wild's SMS service, we collect your mobile phone number and your opt-in consent, and we process the messages you send and the AI replies we return. We use your mobile number only to operate the messaging service — to send a one-time verification code, deliver replies to messages you send, and respond to keywords such as STOP and HELP.

No mobile information — including your phone number, opt-in consent, or SMS data — is shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the providers needed to deliver your messages (such as our SMS carrier, Twilio) and only to operate the Service. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP; the full consent terms are on our SMS opt-in page. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply.

6. Data retention

We keep your account and message data while your account is active. Recent messages are retained to provide conversation context and to show your history. When you delete your account, we delete your associated personal data, except where we are required to retain it by law.

7. Your rights and choices

You can request access to, a copy (export) of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can delete your account. To make a request, contact us at hello@getwild.ai. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; we will honour applicable rights.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
